Move your spaces from Matterport

Bring each space over with its panoramas, its layout and its measurements, then host it on Spacery or on your own server.

Three ways in

Pick the one that matches what you have.

What comes over

The parts that make a scan feel like the place come with it.

Every scan position becomes a stop, placed where it was captured, in meters. Each space gets a surface model of up to 50,000 triangles, fused from the measured depth or copied from Matterport, which gives it a dollhouse view and lets visitors click a spot to walk there.

Floor plans and measurement tools stay in Matterport. A link import also copies your Mattertags into the space.

Matterport and Spacery

They do different jobs, and plenty of people will use both.

Matterport is a capture system, with its own cameras, a capture app and cloud processing that adds floor plans, measurements and services for real estate, insurance and construction. If you capture spaces every week, it does that work well.

Spacery hosts what you have already captured, from Matterport or from any scanner, 360 camera or phone, in a viewer anyone can run. Spaces are built from open file formats with open source tools, so you can always rebuild and host the same space yourself from your original files.

Getting data out of Matterport takes some planning. The E57 export is a paid add-on for each space on Professional plans and above, and only for spaces captured entirely with Matterport's Pro cameras. When a subscription ends, Matterport keeps the spaces but they stop opening until you subscribe again, and an E57 can only be downloaded while its space is active. Link import needs no add-on, only a space that opens from its link. Move what you want while your plan is running.

After the move

Your space gets a link to share and embed.

New spaces start private. When you publish one, you get a link to share or embed on your own site, and you can build guided tours inside it with stops, text, sound and 3D models.
